Out of the Mouth of Lana ... part 2

Lana was on a roll tonight, and she gave us two more good ones during scripture-time. We were reading from Mormon chapter 9, and Lana's verse was verse five. The first part reads as follows:
"For behold, when ye shall be brought."
Lana repeated back that line to me: "For behold, he willll be shot!" I was vaguely reminded of my primary lesson this morning on Apostasy ...

We corrected her harmless error, and moved on:
"to see your nakedness ...."
Upon hearing this clause, Lana gave me one of her more mortified looks and said, alarmingly offended ... "NO!!!!" At that same moment Lana brought her hand up to the top of her pj's, and refused to say the line until she received what she deemed to be a proper explanation as to why anyone would want to see her naked in the first place. We then explained, in words a three-year-old could understand, that the term "nakedness" is used purely in a metaphorical, and not an anatomical, sense ... as the gears turned in her head, she took our explanation without further need for an explanation of our explanation, and blurted out, at a speed it would be difficult for a court reporter to type down something that sounded like "toseeyurnakeness."

On a side note, Emma read parts of a verse for the very first time tonight. All around, it was quite the eventful evening.

Poob..?

While at the dinner table tonight we played a game. It was to name a name going through the alphabat. While on the letter C
 Lana said "POOB!!"
Randall "Poob?"
In a misunderstanding and effort to help Daddy she says it even louder and 'clearer'.
Lana "NOT POOP, POOOOOB"
At this point Randall and I are laugh very hard.
Randall" Thats what I said Poob...whos name is Poob and how does that start with C?"
Lana joyfuly walking away "Poob, POOB, poob, Poob"
Poor unfortunate soul who ever it is!

Pa Gimme the Gun!

Randall Sr., Sean, Paul, Randall, Lauren, and I went shootin'! I was rather nervous since it had been a while. Turns out when ya got it ya got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I would have taken more pictures. It was so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!! Paul had everything! We all took turns shooting and throwing clay pigeons. I was so pleased that I can still hit a target! I also wish I had Laurens picture she was sooo cute! She got the gun that said "MEAT STICK" on it! LOL We had a blast. Paul's brother came a little later to and we tried to track real birds with his dog. But the lab was only 8months so he has some learning to do yet. The birds were raised by his brother too so, that makes it harder when they are use to people. None the less it was wonderful!!!!!!!!

Christmas Eve and Christmas!

We were so excited and grateful to the Mackley family for opening their home so that we could all have Christmas together! It was one of the best Christmases ever. It was great to get  to know everyone before the wedding!
Ah what fun the season is. Wonderful pajamas, sleepy bonding time, Santa fun, and the night of the Saviors birth!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas morning was sooooo fun! The girls went out with Daddy to see the mess of oats and carrots the Reindeer left from their snack. Why should Santa get the only treats of the night?

The opening of presents was great. I love this pic of Lana it looks as if she is examining the movie!

Opening presents for kids is defiantly a highlight.

Later we went to Temple Square to get a tour. We were able to get a Italian Sister to explain better to  Claudia (Blair's exchange student) and to let her hear a little piece of home!
Emma and Maddy wanted to be close to Mel and Trev the whole time.

Emma even got to hold Trev's hand. Not going to lie I'm sure Emma was in Heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lana was done. She did not want to walk, talk, or smile for any pictures. And true to her, you can't make her do anything she doesn't want to.

She did get a little happier and joined Randall and I for a nice picture!

After the Temple tour we headed to Denny's for Dinner. When we walked in I was so tempted to ask for a cooked Goose! LOL!! "Christmas Story" anyone?
It was fun to spend so much time together! And to see everyone enjoying all of it.

Daddy's #1 Fan

The girls asked "Daddy are you going to work?"
Daddy  "No"
Girls "School"
Daddy "No"
Girls "Then where are you going?"
Daddy "Church"  explaining that he had to go to the church to a basketball clinic to coach. Teasingly he said "They want me because I'm such a pro!"
Everyone was so amazed that Daddy was a pro. Then...
Emma while walking away said "Wow!! What is a pro anyway?..."

Mommy's Little Helper

Maddy, Emma, and Lana all decided to help me by cleaning up the snow off the back patio! Maddy was the last one hard at work so I got a good pic in. They were very bummed that snow came again and ruined all their hard work. Ah such is life... its kinda like why I had to open the glass sliding door to get a clear picture instead of a smudged one ;).

Santa

They were so cute talking to Santa. They were all smiles!!!!!
This is the outfits the girls wore to see Santa! K so I didn't plan perfectly. Most of my pics with Santa have our foster baby in them. Then are adorable...but I am not aloud to post pics of the baby. Maybe some day if we adopt him you will see all the fun we had together. We just keep praying that February brings good news. And that can be whatever God wants for him.

Another Funny...

Yesterday while in my pajamas, of pink bottoms with silver cheetah print and a pink t-shirt,

Maddy said " Mama your legs look like cheetahs, and your top looks like a balloon."

................You can imagine how I felt and what I was thinking. So in effort to make myself feel better I inquired further.
"Does it make you think of a balloon b/c it's one solid color or... b/c of the shape?" Her reply..."b/c of the color."

Good girl, and thank goodness!
