This was for our 6th anniversary! Yay us!!!! We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The food is amazing and funny enough we had the same waiter as last year. Whom by the way does a marvelous job. We had a three course meal that stuffed us to the brim, chatting while we cooked our food.

Isn't he so thoughtful to get me roses!
I made this jacket out of the shawl the night before and added the white panel to make it all modest, since it is a strapless dress! It is a gorgeous formal dress I got at savers for $10 that I thought, some day I will find an excuse to use it, and what a better event than to do so!
They threw this in because it was our anniversary! They were perfect!
Then when we got home we just relaxed and enjoyed a movie together.  Every year just gets better!

15 Seconds of Fame

The video speaks for itself, but here's how it all happened.

Last night, our neighbor came over and knocked on our door, yelling my name. He had us come out and look up in the sky. He really just wanted to make sure he wasn't just seeing a whole bunch of spots in the air. I was hesitant to tell him I saw the floating fireballs, just to confirm his suspicion that he was indeed crazy, but I didn't. This is what we saw ...

Hundreds of UFO's streaked across the night air, wreaking havoc on the local fauna. It was estimated that at least one person suffered from a severe heart attack, due to the shock that somebody would light fireballs, and then released them into the air, in the middle of a rain shortage.
The lights came floating over our heads for 20 minutes or so, maybe 1,500 feet up in the air, going wherever the wind decided to carry them. We had no clue what these things were ... until one of them caromed in between our town home complex, right in front of me, and landed, still aflame, in our neighbor's tree. Apparently these were special lanterns that were lit off at a pre-wedding for none other than Jimmer Fredette. What a great time of year to set these suckers off ... right in the middle of a drought.
These are supposedly frame retardant. If that's the case here, then I would hate to see what would flame resistant be ... you be the judge.

Anyway, we got it from our neighbor, took some pictures, and then sent them off to the local news station. Within a minute of our email, 9 News called us up to speak with Gwen. Two minutes after that phone call, another one promptly followed, this one asking if they could come over and interview he in a half hour!!! Of course we said yes. When the news man finally arrived, the interview lasted about 5 minutes.

It was great fun, and Gwen even got to be on the 5 O'clock news today. If anybody want this "party lantern," I'd be happy to sell it to you ... for an outrageous price of course!

It looks like the city of Centennial got Jimmered last night. Luckily, no fires were started.
