John's Visit

From June 13th-20th John Floyd came to visit us. Though there were some difficulties(John and I had to share a seat & belt so we could go anywhere and obey the law) and casualties(see image 1), all and all we had a blast. We played at the park, went to the zoo, John and Randall had a boys night out at UW. John was thrilled to see the campus, and to get donuts afterwards. Emma and Maddy competed all week for John's affection. Emma even took to wearing his clothing. She still is talking about him and its been week since we have seen him. Maddy preferred to go to John every time. We even had Randall and John ask for her at the same time, for her to walk to them, and she chose John over Da Da. Lana was kind of impartial. She didn't care who it was but how they held her. She wanted to see everything. John kindly took his turns in doing her this favor (and us).

One of the highlights of the week for me was on the last evening of John with us. John wanted to win a game (we played every night he was here and he had difficulty winning, though he did occasionally he didn't want to end on a losing note) and so we agreed to stay up till he did. I was getting a drink of water and John told me "don't laugh". Of course I did and water dribbled out. Then I thought that would have been funny to spit it on him. So naturally I told him "say that again". As he began I took another drink of water and as he spoke I spit it in his face. He was so shocked! I wish I could have taken a picture. He then returned the favor and soaked my shirt. Then so Randall didn't feel left out I asked him to politely come over and spit in his face. He was much obliged.

We had a great time and appreciated the extra set of helping hands. We will miss having our nanny around.

Your still the one! (Back In June...)

Here we are at Safeco Field for our anniversary (number 3 for those of you who were curious... and for those who weren't). It was a blast. We sat on the left field line, just slightly foul, but right close to the foul pole. Eric Bedard pitched a gem, and Ken Griffey Jr. hit a home run to right field. It was a wonderful night!!! Go Mariners!!!

Here are some other Pictures. The middle one is on the bus ride to the game. We were going through a tunnel that went under the bulk of downtown Seattle. It was Awesome. Gwen planned the whole thing, and surprised me with the game.

Our trip to the ER!

We all went to a friends house and we had a barbecue on the 30th. While Randall and I were out back socializing Emma slipped around front with the other kids and some how ended up falling down concert stairs with a large glass vase, half the size of her. Talk about a heart attack!!! We heard a crash of glass and Emma scream. There was blood every where. My heart sank to my stomach. Thankfully our friends that we were at helped clean her up and watched Maddy for us while we went to the ER to make sure there was no glass or gravel in the cuts on her wrist. The picture is of her soaking her wrist. She also soaked Randall, her self, and the floor. She walked away with a few cuts, some scrapes, and a bump on the head. Oh and a sticker from the doctor. She was just fine and gives her owie lots of kisses to make it heal fast.

These pictures are of our day on the Seattle temple grounds a couple of weeks ago. We did initiatories; first Gwen went while I watched the girls in the waiting room (luckily there was a television where we could watch the Book of Mormon reader), and then Gwen came back and I did some initatories. It was a great time, and we are definitely going to try to do this more often.

Maddy is enjoying the sun on her sunny blanket. She looks pretty cute, huh?

Emma is enjoying the local vegetation. It's kind of funny, but most of the plants are at least half as tall as her. She looks like she is in a jungle.

Here you go Ira, a picture of Lana
